Watch him sing “Vi Ravviso” from Bellini’s La Sonnambula with Chun Wei Kang on piano. David McFerrin (Cosi 2009) sings Paul in the World Premiere of Daron Hagen’s Amelia, May 9 & 16, 2010 for Seattle Opera. June 8-10, 2010 he will take part in the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall, Boston, in “an Evening of Cole Porter.” July 2-3, 2010 he sings “Samuel Barber’s Dover Beach for Baritone and String Quartet” for Mohawk Trail Concerts, Charlemont, MA. March 2011 he’ll perform Pallante in Handel’s Agrippina for Boston Lyric Opera. Megan Roth (Cosi 2009) performs Amélie, and joins the ensemble, in La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein for Opera Boston, April 30, May 2 & 4, 2010. Joanna Mongiardo (Tales of Offenbach, 2007) sang Zerlina in Don Giovanni in January, 2010, for Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, Najade in Ariadne auf Naxos for Boston Lyric Opera, and will sing Eurydice in Orpheus in the Underworld for Central City Opera July/August 2010. Yeghishe Manucharyan (Tales of Offenbach, 2007) sang Argirio in Rossini’s Tancredi for Opera Boston, October, 2009. He sings Eustazio in Rossini’s Armida for the Metropolitan Opera, April/May 2010 and again February/March 2011 also for the Met. Barbara Quintiliani (Tales of Offenbach, 2007) sang the lead in Maria Padilla for the Wexford Opera Festival October/November 2009. July 2010 she sings the lead in Norma for Chautauqua Opera. October 2010 she will sing Ariadne in Ariadne auf Naxos for Toledo Opera, and May 2011 will sing Maria Padilla for Opera Boston. Leslie Ann Bradley (Tales of Offenbach, 2007, Carmen 2008) sang a Beethoven Missa Solemnis with the Winnipeg Symphony replacing an illustrious Canadian soprano at the last minute. She just finished singing Tales of Hoffmann (roles of Antonia and Giulietta) in Quebec City at the Palais Montcalm. Upcoming engagements include the Victoria Symphony (British Columbia), the Calgary Philharmonic, a CBC radio broadcast of a recital in Toronto on August 4th, a Mahler 4th Symphony in July with the National Youth Orchestra, and a series of concerts in June with the Aldeburgh Connection in Toronto. Kelly Kaduce's 2009-2010 season (The Marriages of Mozart, 2006) includes a return to her signature role of Mimi in La Bohème with Portland Opera; her role debut of Nedda in I Pagliacci with Opera Omaha and Florida Grand Opera; the title role in Suor Angelica, also with Florida Grand Opera; Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with Michigan Opera Theatre and the East Coast premiere of Tan Dun's Tea: A Mirror of Soul with Opera Company of Philadelphia, singing the role of Princess Lan. She will open the Santa Fe Opera's 54th season in a new production of Madama Butterfly in the summer of 2010. |
